Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage mainframe disk and storage administration, including upgrades, updates, provisioning, restoration, and ongoing support.
  • •Perform daily operational activities such as health checks, monitoring, incident management, and issue resolution.
  • •Plan and implement storage capacity expansions and infrastructure changes, including storage volume allocation and utilization reporting.
  • •Administer backup, recovery, archival, and disaster recovery solutions; support DR testing and recovery exercises.

Key Requirements

  • •8 to 15+ years of experience in mainframe infrastructure and z/OS storage administration.
  • •Hands-on experience supporting IBM z/OS storage environments in large-scale enterprise organizations.
  • •Experience with IBM DS8000 series storage (DS8870/DS8K), virtual tape systems, disaster recovery, and storage management products.
  • •Strong background in storage capacity, backup and recovery, replication technologies, and enterprise storage operations.
  • •Proficiency with z/OS and troubleshooting/communication skills, plus familiarity with regulated environments (banking/financial services) preferred.
