Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the key, day-to-day client interface and ensure client objectives are met through cost management services.
  • •Estimate and negotiate change orders, produce and present the final cost plan, and develop updated cost plans at design milestones.
  • •Reconcile project changes, assist contractors with accurate data, and gather status information to update cost estimates.
  • •Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, change management, cost auditing/valuation, and manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
  • •Compile monthly cost reports, prepare funding data presentations, coordinate value engineering sessions, and negotiate final accounts; also coach and mentor talent.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in a cost management role in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is preferred.
  • •Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects with medium to high complexity.
  • •Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes and value management/value engineering.
