Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out mechanical fitting, assembly, removal and inspection activities in line with engineering instructions.
  • •Work to engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards to achieve close tolerances.
  • •Use approved aerospace fitting techniques, tooling and measuring equipment.
  • •Diagnose and rectify faults and defects.
  • •Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, Tool Control and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold an Advanced Apprenticeship (minimum Level 3) in a mechanical discipline and provide evidence.
  • •Hold an A Level 3 or above Vocational Qualification in a mechanical subject (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds).
  • •Proven mechanical fitting experience within aerospace or a closely related industry.
  • •Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications to achieve close tolerances.
  • •Experience using calibrated tools and precision measuring equipment, including understanding of Tool Control and FOD procedures.
