Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Independently execute LCA studies for Eaton electrical products per ISO 14040/14044 and support external/internal verification to publish type-III EPDs.
  • •Implement LCA/EPD using LCA acceleration tools and maintain/develop solutions to improve LCA/EPD cycle time.
  • •Support product engineering teams in reducing greenhouse gas emissions across the electrical product lifecycle.
  • •Develop and deploy eco-design tools and eco-design-related work packages during new product introduction (EPR, Ecodesign, and chemical compliance).
  • •Evaluate compliance with applicable eco-design regulations (e.g., EU-ErP Directive), communicate requirements across teams, and provide regular reports and stakeholder updates.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science or Chemical/Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical engineering.
  • •3–6 years (Bachelor’s) or 2–4 years (Master’s) experience in sustainability, product, or technology development for industrial/electrical/electronic/chemical products or processes.
  • •Experience conducting LCA as per ISO 14040/14044 and creating EPDs per relevant PCR/PSR requirements.
  • •Hands-on knowledge using LCA modeling software such as EIME, SimaPro, Sphera/GaBi, OpenLCA, or similar tools.
  • •Ability to support/lead projects in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders and strong project management.
