Job Summary

Senior Mechanical Product Engineer in AMD’s Data Center Platform Engineering Group interfaces between design engineering and manufacturing for AMD Data Center GPU products. Drive manufacturing readiness for mechanical aspects, translate design intent into production tests and debug plans, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure robust, ramp-ready hardware across internal and external teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Bridge design, validation, and manufacturing to ensure readiness for ramp and sustained production of AMD Data Center GPU hardware.
•Translate design intent into factory-ready processes, test methods, and debug plans for production use.
•Support debug and root-cause analysis of issues found during prototype builds, qualification, and manufacturing ramps.
•Define readiness criteria and close manufacturability gaps to improve robustness, test coverage, and speed to production.
•Collaborate across internal teams and external manufacturing partners, communicating clearly and driving closure on complex production issues.

Key Requirements

•BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
•Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and design for manufacturability
•Experience with manufacturing test readiness, debug, and root-cause analysis for hardware products
•Ability to lead through influence and collaborate across design, validation, manufacturing, quality, and operations
•Experience with server/data center hardware and global manufacturing environments
