Key Responsibilities

•Strategic Leadership: Define hardware system architecture across different groups within AMD, providing hardware engineering vision, roadmap, and design strategies aligned with business goals.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and field service, to ensure hardware products meet customer requirements.
•Team Management: Recruit, mentor and lead high-performing teams of electrical, mechanical and thermal engineers.
•Product Development Lifecycle: Lead design teams to own end-to-end product development, including schematics capture, PCB layout, prototyping, validation, and production.
•Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action: Investigate, debug, and resolve next-gen PCIe, memory, and high-speed Ethernet hardware issues; develop corrective actions and supplier collaborations.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering (required)
•Master’s degree or higher preferred
•Extensive hardware engineering experience around PCIe Gen6/7, DDR5/DDR6, and 200G Ethernet
•Hands-on hardware troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
•Proficiency with hardware design tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence) and scripting (Python)
