Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare Protection & Control engineering designs for HV/EHV substations (11kV–400kV or above).
  • •Develop protection design deliverables including SLDs, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, terminal plans, cable schedules, and interconnection diagrams.
  • •Design protection relay/control/annunciation/metering panels and RTU/SCADA interfaces; prepare relay settings philosophy.
  • •Perform protection coordination and review relay configurations, supported by engineering calculations such as cable sizing, voltage drop, and battery sizing.
  • •Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, review vendor drawings, and support FAT/SAT and commissioning/technical issue resolution while ensuring compliance with standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Experience in HV/EHV substation Protection & Control design.
  • •Knowledge of protection schemes for Transmission and Distribution substations.
  • •Experience with protection relays from manufacturers such as Siemens, GE, ABB/Hitachi Energy, Schneider Electric, or SEL.
  • •Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; CDAE qualification is highly desirable.
