Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee junior engineers on mid- to large-size projects and help grow OCS practice capabilities.
  • •Apply rail design, rail operations, and construction knowledge for overhead catenary systems, traction power substations, signals and communications systems, and track layout.
  • •Develop OCS layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • •Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local Overhead Catenary System (OCS) regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Engineering or related field plus 4 years of related experience (or equivalent experience/education).
  • •Experience designing and analyzing overhead electrification systems across project scopes from preliminary design through construction.
  • •Preferred experience designing and implementing auto-tensioned and fixed termination systems, including simple catenary and single contact wire/trolley wire and both AC and DC systems.
  • •Experience using AutoCAD and MicroStation for electrification system design.
  • •Knowledge of design software packages including STAAD, LPile, and MathCAD, plus experience developing specifications, cost estimating, and construction staging.
