Job Summary

Join the Auth0 Security Engineering team as a Software Engineer II to build and maintain security guardrails for a multi-cloud environment. You’ll implement organization-wide controls, strengthen IAM and network security, contribute to VPC and cross-account security, design systems to validate security posture, and collaborate across teams to grow security expertise.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement and maintain organization-wide security controls (SCPs, Azure Policy) balancing protection with developer experience
•Build and update IAM templates and permission boundaries that govern how services and humans interact with our cloud, applying the principle of least privilege
•Contribute to security standards for VPC architecture, edge networking, and cross-account connectivity
•Help build systems and processes that validate the security posture of the platform, enforcing security policies and surfacing actionable feedback for engineering teams
•Partner with teammates across the organization, share learnings, and continually deepen security expertise

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 110,000 - 151,800 annually

Key Requirements

•3+ years of cloud-native software engineering or information security experience with hands-on exposure to Kubernetes (EKS, AKS) and cloud security concepts
•Experience building or maintaining automated controls and infrastructure-as-code, ideally with Terraform workflows
•Security-minded with ability to identify attack vectors and think through risk in distributed systems and willingness to learn formal risk assessment practices
•Familiarity with security or cloud tooling and an interest in applying AI to streamline security tasks and governance
•Strong communication and collaboration skills; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
