Job Summary

Build and optimize the architecture behind TikTok’s recommendation system. You’ll design offline data architecture for large-scale recommendations, implement scalable high-performance storage and computing, and help troubleshoot production systems to improve stability and availability. •Design and implement offline data architecture for large-scale recommendation systems.
•Build flexible, scalable, stable, high-performance storage and computing systems.
•Troubleshoot production systems and implement mechanisms/tools to ensure overall stability.
•Develop distributed systems (storage and computing) to support massive data and large-scale business systems.
•Apply data mining, data modeling, NLP, and machine learning to analyze structured and unstructured datasets, and visualize/report findings.

Key Requirements

•Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree/master in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical major.
•Experience programming in at least one of C, C++, Java, or Golang.
•Strong communication skills, with ownership and drive.
•Experience in at least one area such as personalized recommendation system infrastructure (dag engine, ranking, online/offline feature store), search, distributed storage, rpc frameworks, or performance regression (perf-CI).
•Agile, quick self-learner, highly self-motivated, with strong product ownership and creative problem-solving skills.
