Job Summary

Troubleshoot, repair, re-commission, and maintain field instrumentation across power and desalination assets to keep gas turbines, steam turbines, waste heat boilers, and plant auxiliaries running efficiently. You’ll handle breakdowns and planned maintenance with minimal supervision, assess job requirements, order spares via the computerized maintenance system, follow safety procedures, support RCFA for repeat issues, and provide on-the-job training to craftsmen.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot, repair, re-commission, and maintain field instrumentation for gas turbines, steam turbines, waste heat boilers, and desalination plant auxiliaries.
•Attend to power and desalination plant field instrumentation breakdowns and planned maintenance with minimum direction and supervision.
•Assess job requirements, select necessary tools/equipment, and order spare parts through the computerized maintenance system while maintaining maintenance records.
•Ensure all maintenance work follows safety procedures and plant operational requirements; assist in RCFA for repeated breakdowns.
•Provide on-the-job training to new craftsmen so they can perform maintenance and repair work as planned.

Key Requirements

•Higher secondary or diploma education.
•Familiarity with maintenance tools and strong knowledge of plant safety procedures.
•Experience working in a power or desalination plant with exposure to maintenance and calibration of field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level, flow), including pneumatic/hydraulic valve actuation systems.
•Ability to work under time and technical pressure, handling call-outs for breakdown work and supporting shift duty.
•Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings and manuals, with knowledge of electrical, electronics, computer, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices.
