Job Summary

Support day-to-day clearing and settlement operations within Securities Services (SSV) Operations Japan, covering custody settlement and broker dealer third-party clearing. Execute daily settlement activities across Japanese market infrastructures (JASDEC, BOJ, JDCC, JSCC), monitor settlement lifecycle events, resolve exceptions and operational incidents, and coordinate with internal teams, offshore operations, counterparties, and clients. Contribute to operational controls, incident reviews, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform daily clearing and settlement operations across Japanese post-trade infrastructures including JADEC, BOJ, JDCC, and JSCC.
•Support settlement processes across asset classes, focusing on equity settlement and broker dealer clearing activities.
•Monitor settlement lifecycle events, resolve settlement exceptions, and investigate settlement breaks, falls, and operational incidents.
•Coordinate with internal teams, offshore operations teams, market infrastructures, counterparties, and clients.
•Maintain operational control standards and support operational improvements, incident management, and post-incident reviews.

Key Requirements

•Experience in post-trade operations, settlement operations, or securities operations.
•Understanding of Japanese market infrastructure such as JASDEC, BOJ, JDCC, or JSCC.
•Experience in custody settlement (equities) or broker dealer clearing operations (advantageous).
•Ability to work effectively in a high-volume operational environment.
•Strong attention to details and operational risk awareness.
