Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise daily operations of the clinical/core laboratory, including test performance, specimen handling, and workflow coordination.
  • •Ensure laboratory activities comply with CLIA, Joint Commission, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • •Monitor and maintain quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing programs.
  • •Oversee staff scheduling, workload distribution, and performance management; train, mentor, and evaluate staff while maintaining competency documentation.
  • •Investigate testing anomalies and non-conformances, initiate corrective actions, support instrument validation, and help implement new assays or equipment.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • •Current certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP or equivalent).
  • •4+ years of clinical laboratory experience, preferably in chemistry and/or hematology.
  • •2+ years of supervisory or lead technologist experience.
  • •Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and data analysis tools.
