Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide L2 support for incident, request, change, and problem management related to server and DB operations on Windows and Unix systems.
  • •Ensure 24/7 coverage, participate in major incidents, and meet SLA requirements and KPIs such as breach case target, MTTR, and escalation target.
  • •Install and upgrade firmware, apply patches, and implement required changes for hardware and operating systems.
  • •Diagnose and troubleshoot OS/hardware errors to ensure high availability of manufacturing (MFG) systems; monitor server performance and analyze issues to prevent recurring problems.
  • •Develop server operation processes, create dashboards/reports, perform capacity planning, and participate in disaster recovery drills with Level 3 experts for improvement projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics/Computer/Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • •Knowledge of IT infrastructure with Microsoft Windows (2019, 2016) and RHEL operating systems, plus Microsoft SQL and Oracle.
  • •Desire to learn hardware and virtualization technologies such as Cisco UCS, HPE ProLiant, VMware, Nutanix, OpenShift, and Citrix.
  • •Certifications from Microsoft, VMWare, Citrix, and Cisco; familiarity with scripting languages is an advantage.
  • •Knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java, PowerShell, and Python; effective oral and written communication; flexible for day and night shifts.
