Job Summary

Lead and coordinate engineering projects, owning technical vision, strategy, planning, and risk management. You’ll be a hands-on Team Lead and line manager, setting team goals, mentoring engineers, and ensuring engineering practices are followed. Partner closely with Product Management and a Staff Engineer to drive reliable delivery, improve processes, and contribute code by fixing bugs and resolving issues, while understanding architecture and scaling limits for a major business area.

Key Responsibilities

•Report to the Head of Engineering and collaborate with Product Manager and Staff Engineer to own technical vision, strategy, planning, and engineering project coordination.
•Manage team performance by setting goals, ensuring estimates and communication are reliable, and leading engineering practices from the front.
•Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance, including making architectural and design trade-offs for the whole system.
•Actively contribute code by fixing bugs and resolving issues to drive the team’s progress and timely delivery.
•Support interviewing, hiring, and training; track team performance metrics; and help execute ad-hoc engineering projects by anticipating technical issues and making strategic technology decisions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: PLN 30,000 - 42,000 monthly

Key Requirements

•Proven experience in system design, coding, and architecture, with a track record delivering large systems in multiple languages.
•Experience acting as a line manager, owning team performance, reliable estimates, and proactive communication.
•Deep understanding of architecture for a major business area, including articulating scaling and reliability limits.
•Ability to break down complex problems into solutions, knowns, and unknowns to reach resolutions quickly.
•Strong ownership and leadership through example across quality, continuous improvement, product focus, and open feedback.
