Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and implement inspection, testing, and quality control methodologies for manufacturing and production equipment.
  • •Interpret engineering drawings/specifications, GD&T, product requirements, and manufacturing standards; support qualification, reliability testing, process validation, and First Article Inspection/release readiness.
  • •Lead structured root cause investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions (8D, CAPA, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5-Why, Pareto) to reduce defects, escapes, scrap, and rework; validate effectiveness through control plans and metrics.
  • •Support customer quality issues and escalations, including containment activities and executive-quality communications; translate customer learnings back into manufacturing controls, training, and documentation.
  • •Analyze operational data and build dashboards/KPIs using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and JMP; lead Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement projects to improve quality, productivity, cycle time, and cost performance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related technical discipline.
  • •Quality, manufacturing, product, supplier, customer, process, test, or reliability engineering experience in semiconductor capital equipment or a comparable complex manufacturing environment.
  • •Experience using structured corrective action systems (e.g., CAPA, root cause analysis) and quality methods such as audit readiness and analytics dashboards.
  • •Preferred experience with customer quality, factory quality, supplier recovery, installation quality, startup issues, Lean Six Sigma, and structured corrective actions.
  • •Hands-on, technical quality work using quality engineering tools and data-driven methodologies to improve product and manufacturing performance.
