Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, document, test, and debug control and diagnostic systems using logical and mathematical solutions.
  • •Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers on electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
  • •Determine end-user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, and input data acquisition.
  • •Ensure hardware and software standards are met and design/build procedures that support product development and use.
  • •May develop software configuration standards and train software developers on configuration management tools and software quality standards (includes control modeling/model based design).

Key Requirements

  • •Must have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with at least 5 years’ progressive experience as a Software Engineer (or related). Alternatively, a master’s degree (or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ experience as a Software Engineer (or related).
  • •At least 3 years of experience in safety critical embedded software development and verification.
  • •At least 3 years of experience developing software using C, C++, or Ada.
  • •At least 3 years of experience in the avionics industry.
  • •At least 3 years of DO-178B/C development experience.
