Job Summary

Lead accounting and statutory financial reporting for France and Luxembourg, owning local closes and ensuring compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and group policies. Act as the primary contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies, support CFO governance and disclosures, and provide expert accounting advice on complex topics. Drive accounting governance, risk escalation, and process excellence, while leading and developing the regional accounting team and collaborating with controlling, FP&A, and shared services.

Key Responsibilities

•Own and deliver statutory financial statements for France and Luxembourg in accordance with local GAAP, IFRS, and group policies.
•Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes aligned with group reporting calendars.
•Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors, statutory authorities, and regulatory bodies; support CFO in governance and disclosures.
•Ensure accounting governance and compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, internal control frameworks (including J-SOX where applicable), and maintain balance sheet governance and reconciliations.
•Lead and develop the France accounting team, driving continuous improvement and ensuring resilience through backup and knowledge transfer.

Key Requirements

•Strong technical accounting background in IFRS and local GAAP across France and Luxembourg.
•Proven experience owning statutory reporting and managing audits with external auditors.
•Ability to partner with senior finance and business leaders and explain financial results and variances.
•Experience managing and leading accounting teams across multiple countries.
•Knowledge of accounting rules and trends for both countries and assessing their impact for management and implementation.
