Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate across multiple stakeholders and clients to execute live-streaming events smoothly.
  • •Collaborate with contractors and in-house engineers on transmission planning and establish partnerships with transmission and broadcast hardware/vendors.
  • •Serve as a central engineering/production resource to develop and execute technical plans aligned with Netflix’s creative and technical objectives, often managing concurrent schedules.
  • •Troubleshoot, diagnose, and report audio/video/infrastructure issues; monitor and manage cloud- and hardware-based video infrastructure and remediate workflow problems.
  • •Manage and evolve ground ingest capabilities (signal acquisition, inspection, validation, standardization) and be present on launch days at NOC or ground ingest facilities as required.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of broadcast remote operations experience (preferably network level) in a coordination or supervisory role.
  • •Strong understanding of digital audio/video fundamentals, compression technologies, distribution formats, and related signaling (e.g., MPEG-2 TS, HDR, SCTE-35).
  • •Experience with video transport protocols such as SDI, SMPTE-2110, RTP, RTMP, SRT, Zixi, RIST, HLS, and MPEG-DASH.
  • •Proficiency in video and audio compression technology and the ability to assess and troubleshoot video/audio quality.
  • •Understanding of remote production nuances, remote production facilities/equipment vendors, and MVPD-based linear and OTT video distribution (including contribution technology).
