Key Responsibilities

  • •Evaluate, improve, and debug in-house and commercial EDA tools and flows for physical layout, verification, and CMOS integrated circuit design.
  • •Collaborate with memory layout teams to solve daily challenges and deliver solutions for future layouts.
  • •Identify problem areas for improvement and develop innovative methodologies for faster time to market and highly reliable layout.
  • •Lead layout flow implementation using AI-assisted and automated workflows to accelerate placement, routing, and optimization.
  • •Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and develop/deploy AI-enabled floorplanning and parasitic estimation methodologies.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience in layout automation, physical verification, or related domains.
  • •Customize design environments and automation methodologies/utilities to increase memory layout productivity.
  • •Hands-on experience with place-and-route flows for custom memory layouts using tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Custom Compiler, Pulsic Unity, and Itools.
  • •Experience with PDN analysis tools such as Totem/VoltusXFA/XA is preferable.
  • •Good understanding of CMOS layout design rules and programming fundamentals (Skill, Perl, Python, Tcl), plus Linux knowledge.
