Job Summary

Operate concrete mixer trucks safely and efficiently, following Concrete Supervisor and Dispatch instructions for delivery and shift schedules, including occasional overtime. Make timely ready-mix concrete deliveries, maintain regular attendance, and ensure equipment cleanliness. For each delivery, fill tanks, load and operate controls, and use external or in-cab methods to deliver concrete. After delivery, thoroughly rinse and clean the truck, refuel, park safely, and complete required records while supporting the company safety process.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely and efficiently operate concrete mixer equipment and report problems to your manager in a timely fashion.
•Follow dispatch directions to make the appropriate number of ready mix concrete deliveries each day.
•Perform delivery tasks including filling truck tanks, loading, attaching chutes, and operating controls to deliver concrete.
•Rinse down and thoroughly wash hopper/chutes and other truck components after each delivery, and clean and wash out the truck at day’s end.
•Refuel the truck, park it safely, chock tires, and perform other duties as assigned while actively promoting safety.

Key Requirements

•Thorough operational knowledge of mixer truck and related equipment to be operated.
•Valid State Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
•Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
•Ability to perform all job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
•Ability to communicate positively with customers and represent Tilcon, including using the radio and truck tracking system correctly.
