Key Responsibilities

•Define the Japan sales growth strategy; meet and exceed revenue and targets
•Handle sales forecasts accurately, set budgets and goals for the sales team
•Engage with key clients on a senior level, and deliver extraordinary consultative customer service
•Hire, develop and actively coach sales talent & managers within the region. Analyze, validate and update performance to increase growth
•Collaborate with key cross-functional partners, including music & podcasts teams to collectively grow the Spotify business in Japan

Key Requirements

•15+ years of advertising/marketing sales experience including at least 10 years in sales leadership and 5+ years of larger staff management in the Japan market
•Strong leadership with a track record of building and growing teams and developing others
•Mastered fundamentals of sales management including forecasting, client research, pitches, planning, and reporting
•Strong agency and brand relationships with a network of senior contacts in media and marketing
•Excellent communication, consultative selling, problem solving and negotiating skills; ability to position Spotify's ad solutions through storytelling
