Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the health, stability, and reliability of SQL Server production environments, including improving availability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
  • •Diagnose and resolve production issues such as slow queries, blocking, deadlocks, and resource contention using advanced T-SQL tuning and execution plan analysis.
  • •Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems, participate in on-call rotations, and triage incidents to minimize downtime.
  • •Own backup/restore processes, disaster recovery planning, and high availability solutions such as Always On and replication.
  • •Develop automation using PowerShell and SQL Server tooling (e.g., SQL Agent jobs) to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention while managing database access and security configurations.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.

  • •Strong T-SQL skills, including query tuning, stored procedures, and performance troubleshooting.
  • •PowerShell scripting experience for automation and operational tasks.
