Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute data validation queries comparing source outputs (Yellowbricks/Informatica) vs target outputs (Databricks/Snowflake/dbt).
  • •Perform row-count, aggregate, sample/cell-level, and schema consistency validations; log and analyze discrepancies.
  • •Validate dbt models on Snowflake and test Databricks notebooks/jobs replicating Yellowbricks logic (transformations, joins, filters, aggregations).
  • •Validate CDC/incremental loads and regression test each migration wave to ensure correct business rules and previously validated data flows.
  • •Maintain test cases/results and traceability; log defects with evidence in defect tracking tools and participate in stand-ups/defect triage.

Key Requirements

  • •2-4 years of experience in software testing/QA, including 2+ years in data warehouse/ETL testing.
  • •Strong SQL skills for writing complex validation queries (joins, aggregations, window functions, filters).
  • •Hands-on experience testing on Snowflake, Databricks, or other cloud data warehouse/Big Data platforms (Snowflake/Databricks a plus).
  • •Exposure to Informatica mappings/workflows and their expected outputs.
  • •Exposure to dbt (or willingness to learn) and familiarity with test management/defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA, TestRail, qTest).
