Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead day-to-day field observations, inspections, documentation, and reporting to recommend acceptance or rejection of contractor work.
  • •Review work for conformance with contract requirements, approved construction documents, applicable codes, standards, and guidelines; enforce contractor quality control processes.
  • •Serve as primary independent field inspector, verifying testing, verification, and certification activities conducted by the contractor and third-party inspection agents.
  • •Coordinate with the onsite project manager and offsite technical staff/specialty inspectors; provide technical quality review and guidance to support compliance to design, budget, and schedule.
  • •Support secure, safe project execution by assisting with owner-ordered supplemental/confirmation testing and maintaining timely communication with the AECOM project manager and GSA project team.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS plus 6 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Valid US driver’s license.
  • •Able to pass required drug screening.
  • •Experience as an on-site field inspector/quality assurance manager, including QA/QC and major site infrastructure and construction inspection work.
  • •Knowledge of construction practices and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications for conformance to codes and contract requirements.
