Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the supervisor in coordinating daily departmental responsibilities and ensure instructions are communicated and carried out timely and correctly.
  • •Monitor farm equipment, ensure it is working properly, and notify the supervisor of needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adherence to policies.
  • •Provide general farm labor to vaccinate birds and move birds to designated houses; place new shavings and maintain/clean farm (vaccinating) equipment.
  • •Vaccinate and move birds as required for feed conversion, growing, laying, or live haul loading areas.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (or 18 months if laid off/providing child or elder care).
  • •Must be able to read, write, and have simple math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • •Must have a valid driver’s license and 1 year of verifiable driving experience with a clean safety record.
  • •Must achieve and maintain respirator certification; must remain clean shaven during all scheduled work hours.
  • •Demonstrated lead/supervisory experience and/or a minimum of 6 months in a poultry-related field; lead positions must maintain 4 attendance points or less.
