Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and develop a team of attorneys and legal professionals, providing direction, coaching, and inclusive, business-oriented leadership.
  • •Serve as primary legal advisor to senior and executive leaders, translating legal requirements into practical strategic guidance.
  • •Oversee structuring, negotiation, and review of critical commercial, technology, data, and partnership agreements with appropriate risk allocation and compliance.
  • •Provide strategic counsel on product design and go-to-market initiatives in partnership with product, engineering, operations, and compliance teams.
  • •Manage legal, regulatory, and reputational risks through governance mechanisms, playbooks, escalations, and responses to disputes, investigations, and regulatory inquiries.

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, with eligibility to practice in the relevant jurisdictions.
  • •Admission to and good standing with at least one U.S. state bar (or equivalent).
  • •12+ years of progressively responsible legal experience advising on complex commercial, regulatory, and/or product matters in technology, financial services, or real estate–related industries.
  • •5+ years of people leadership experience managing attorneys and/or other legal professionals, including performance, development, and workload prioritization.
  • •Significant experience leading high-stakes negotiations, escalations, disputes, or regulatory matters, and designing scalable legal processes and governance mechanisms.
