Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate forklifts for full and empty containers and specific forklift attachments, plus the terminal tractor with trailer, to transfer containers and cargo safely.
  • •Perform loading, unloading, handling, and stacking of containers, equipment, and general cargo (palletized or non-palletized) using authorized equipment.
  • •Ensure integrity of containers, cargo, vehicles, wagons, and equipment by following work instructions and operating responsibly.
  • •Use the Terminal Operating System (TOS) correctly, including complete and accurate recording of operations.
  • •Conduct pre-operation checks, report technical faults/incidents, support routine maintenance/repairs, and maintain order and cleanliness in the work area while using required PPE per HSEQ instructions.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a valid forklift operator qualification and authorization, valid and endorsed for the current year.
  • •Complete secondary school or a vocational/professional school.
  • •Have a valid driver’s license category B; holding categories C and E is an advantage.
  • •Know and apply technical instruction PT R1/2010 duties and responsibilities for forklift operators.
  • •Know PT CR8 requirements regarding annual endorsement/validation of the authorization.
