Engineer low-level connectivity for edge devices running a custom Android (AOSP) system stack. •Advance an Android-based system stack focused on cellular connectivity, fleet stability, and the 5G upgrade roadmap.
•Build low-level AOSP system initialization routines, image partitioning, file system structures, and SELinux access policies.
•Optimize LTE/5G modem integrations, including Radio Interface Layer components, AT commands, and eSIM configurations.
•Analyze device telemetry and network metrics to diagnose complex fleet anomalies across RF environments and user space.
•Partner with Hardware, Product, and Infrastructure teams to design power-aware connectivity states for extreme seasonal conditions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 130,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Practical experience in embedded systems or OS-level development, with deep knowledge of low-level Android OS architectures and AOSP internals.
•Hands-on expertise with cellular networking stacks, including LTE/5G modems, Radio Interface Layer integrations, AT commands, and SIM/eSIM management.
•Technical understanding of SELinux security policies, permissions management, and debugging system access restrictions.
•Proficiency in networking protocols including TCP/IP, routing tables, Wi-Fi architectures, and data optimization techniques.
•Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field is required.
