Job Summary

Support local and state clients in delivering FEMA Public Assistance after federally declared disasters by assessing eligibility and developing project worksheets. Interpret regulations (44 CFR, the Stafford Act, and PAPPG), track progress and data integrity in the FEMA Grants Portal, and maintain compliant documentation systems. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction managers on quantities, cost estimates, and reconciliations from site inspections, while delivering responsive guidance and customer service throughout project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist clients in navigating FEMA Public Assistance and related recovery programs while ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
•Analyze 44 CFR, the Stafford Act, and PAPPG to evaluate documentation and develop project worksheets that support eligibility, scope accuracy, and cost reasonableness.
•Use the FEMA Grants Portal to track project progress, identify risks, and ensure data integrity.
•Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction managers to verify quantities, develop cost estimates, and reconcile discrepancies from inspections and reviews.
•Maintain project documentation by performing data entry into electronic systems and supporting project filing and communication with FEMA and sub-recipients.

Key Requirements

•BA/BS plus 2+ years of experience with FEMA Public Assistance or other relevant state/federal programs, or equivalent experience/education.
•Must pass a state and federal criminal history/security background check.
•Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
•Valid US Driver’s License for travel to regional and satellite locations supporting project assignments.
•Ability to operate Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and work proficiently in virtual collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
