Job Summary

Partner with product and engineering to design and enhance compliant fintech products, embedding with product teams to identify, track and implement compliance requirements while building monitoring tools for ongoing compliance. Engage with FinCRO leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, gaining exposure to Stripe’s diverse business lines and governance, and leverage AI to scale compliance enablement while maintaining rigorous judgment.

Key Responsibilities

•Embed with product teams to provide guidance on compliance requirements during the design and build phases to ensure a compliant go-to-market strategy.
•Lead product governance efforts on behalf of FinCRO, including documenting requirements and tracking them through implementation.
•Conduct compliance reviews and product risk assessments for material new product launches and feature expansions.
•Provide subject matter support as they design and implement workflows, tooling, and reporting.
•Liaise closely with Regional Compliance Officers and Money Laundering Reporting Officers to support execution of our compliance oversight programs.

Key Requirements

•7+ years of experience building and managing compliance programs in regulated financial services, preferably in fintech, payments and banking.
•Experience evaluating emerging products for compliance risk, working with product and business stakeholders to implement creative solutions for compliance requirements, and conducting relevant product risk assessments.
•Working knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial crimes/AML practices, with a strong understanding of the compliance landscape applicable to a company like Stripe.
•Proven ability to manage distinct projects and programs, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
•Ability to interpret regulations and regulatory guidance and incorporate them into a comprehensive, proportionate compliance program.
