Job Summary

Lead end-to-end engineering and deployment of circularity solutions across HP products and packaging. Drive packaging transformation and the integration of recycled and renewable materials, while embedding design for circularity into product architecture. Advance reuse, repair, and takeback programs and improve circularity data through digital and enterprise systems to support traceability and compliance with regulations and reporting frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead development and deployment of renewable and recyclable packaging solutions, including replacing single-use plastics and optimizing for performance, cost, and lifecycle impact.
•Increase integration of post-consumer recycled plastics, recycled metals/critical materials, and responsibly sourced renewable materials; support qualification, scaling, and supplier certification.
•Embed circularity principles into product design (durability, modularity, repairability, upgradeability, disassembly, and recyclability) and partner with R&D on architecture and material choices.
•Advance lifecycle extension strategies including repair/refurbishment, device life extension and reuse programs, and reverse supply chain optimization.
•Partner with digital and data teams to improve circularity reporting and data systems for traceability, auditability, and compliance with EU reporting requirements.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Packaging, Environmental, or related).
•8–12+ years of relevant experience in circular economy, sustainable materials, packaging engineering, or materials science.
•Demonstrated experience integrating recycled and/or renewable materials, including supporting qualification and scaling.
•Experience working across global supply chains.
•Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
