Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform engineering assignments by following defined processes, procedures, and instructions while proposing solutions to engineering-related problems.
  • •Collaborate with experienced engineers to recommend and implement routine engineering, design, operation, maintenance, and market optimization solutions within time and budget constraints.
  • •Develop models, analyze data, and recommend improvements in processes and programs; present findings to management and/or external parties.
  • •Provide field engineering assistance or technical support as needed and assist in the resolution of emergent plant issues.
  • •Ensure compliance with nuclear NQA documentation and record keeping requirements, nuclear security safeguards, NERC-CIP, critical digital asset requirements, and other NRC requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics, with applicable Navy nuclear experience equally acceptable.
  • •Staff level requires 2 years of experience; Senior level requires 4 years; Principal level requires 6 years (Associate level prefers internship/co-op experience).
  • •Must be able to maintain a position on the Fermi Emergency Response Organization ERO in support of the Radiological Emergency Response Plan RERP and support an on-call rotation schedule.
  • •Must be able to pass in-processing including a background investigation, psychological screening, radiation worker/respiratory training, and a medically certifiable drug and alcohol screen.
  • •Physical capability to work in the plant (e.g., climb stairs, work in hot environments, and work in radiation/contamination areas).
