Job Summary

Prepare and mix inks, solvents, and varnish to customer specifications as part of the press team. Operate and assemble dispensing equipment, verify solvent levels, and maintain consistent ink color and viscosity. Manage ink inventory and required paperwork for consignment/work-off inks, perform ink testing and feedback, and ensure safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and properly stocked.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare production equipment (ink/varnish/solvent dispensing and ink pumps), verify solvent levels, and keep pumps in good condition.
•Mix inks and solvents to specifications, replenish and adjust ink supply to the press, and maintain consistent color and viscosity.
•Ensure ink viscosity using test-cup timing, observe ink performance, and provide feedback to appropriate personnel.
•Maintain inventory of consignment and work-off inks, complete necessary paperwork, and process required documentation on time.
•Maintain safe, clean work areas and follow PPE, hazardous materials/waste handling, and other EHS procedures; assist the press crew when required.
