Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake numerical analysis using computer-based programmes to support potable, surface and wastewater systems studies.
  • •Carry out technical and feasibility studies to appraise alternative solutions for potable, foul, surface water and attenuation requirements.
  • •Perform structural analysis and design, including determination of design situations and load cases using analysis software.
  • •Produce designs for water infrastructure (e.g., pump systems and pipe networks) and create documents such as a Designer’s Risk Assessment.
  • •Produce and check working drawings and stay current with regulatory legislation and guidelines affecting design work.

Key Requirements

  • •BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent).
  • •MEng in Civil, Structural, or a Water Engineering related MSc (civils) is an advantage.
  • •Water-related modules and relevant work experience are an advantage.
  • •Basic computer skills (Word/Excel) and good report writing skills beneficial.
  • •Willingness to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE & CIWEM; able to work toward client and business expectations and communicate effectively.
