Job Summary

Own the strategy, execution, and continuous evolution of the enterprise data catalog product powered by Alation. Drive roadmap delivery and adoption of catalog capabilities for trusted data discovery, business context, governance, operational scale, and AI readiness. Serve as Alation SME across metadata management, stewardship workflows, business glossary, lineage, search, and discovery—partnering with business, technology, governance, analytics, architecture, risk, and control stakeholders to translate requirements into measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Support execution of the enterprise data catalog roadmap aligned to enterprise data, governance, and AI priorities.
•Translate strategic priorities into actionable work plans, product requirements, feature releases, and implementation activities.
•Manage day-to-day product management activities including backlog refinement, release planning, dependency management, and delivery tracking.
•Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for Alation capabilities, including metadata management, stewardship workflows, business glossary, lineage, and search/discovery.
•Coordinate delivery across internal teams, technology partners, and vendors; monitor adoption and product performance metrics and support testing, readiness, communications, training, and post-release activities.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
•10+ years implementing data governance frameworks, including data policies, standards, controls, and working with IT/business to analyze complex business processes and governance needs.
•3+ years of hands-on experience with the Alation Data Catalog platform.
•3+ years working in a Scaled Agile environment.
•Strong product management mindset and ability to translate business needs into scalable platform capabilities.
