Job Summary

Join the Boeing Defense Air Dominance Systems Safety & Mission Assurance team supporting the US Navy MQ-25 Stingray program in Berkeley, MO. You’ll assess aircraft hardware/software/firmware designs to identify safety hazards, lead risk and airworthiness-related reviews, and support manufacturing and flight-test issue mitigation. Responsibilities include independent safety/mission assurance assessments, anomaly and failure reviews, and root-cause corrective action support to improve product safety and mission success.

Key Responsibilities

•Assess aircraft hardware/software/firmware designs to identify safety hazards and propose solutions to reduce or eliminate hazards.
•Lead and validate safety, mission success, and airworthiness; support incorporation into designs, operations, and procedures.
•Conduct independent risk and technical integrity assessments, including anomaly and failure reviews and resolution support.
•Support Mission Assurance Independent Reviews (MAIRs) and initiate/chair special attention MAIRs for product integrity and mission success.
•Assist with root cause/corrective actions (eRCCA) on high-severity technical failures and support flight/test readiness review activities.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a directly related equivalent.
•Level 2: 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.
•Experience conducting aircraft safety hazard analysis/mitigation and risk/technical integrity assessments.
•Familiarity with MIL-STD 882, JSSSEH, and DO-178/DO-254 standards (highly desirable).
