Key Responsibilities

  • •Create gameplay and in-game cinematic lighting based on direction from the Art Director.
  • •Ensure lighting assets meet runtime and disk budgeting requirements.
  • •Anticipate, identify, and report potential production problems to the Lead.
  • •Collaborate with other departments (Character, VFX, and especially Environment Art) to support the product.
  • •Develop and improve the lighting pipeline and workflows, and mentor other Lighting artists.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience in a lighting role in the gaming industry (12+ years).
  • •Excellent working knowledge of Maya and Photoshop (or equivalent).
  • •Strong understanding of physically based lighting, lighting fundamentals, and lighting theory (color space, exposure, light fixtures, reflections).
  • •Proven track record of leading and inspiring teams, with ability to enhance mood through composition.
