Job Summary

Support engineering design, manufacturing test, and product diagnostics by performing complex electrical and electro-mechanical testing, troubleshooting, and installations with minimal supervision. Operate oscilloscopes and DMMs, rework SMT PCBs, build cables from sketches, and perform system/component-level diagnostics. Document results, write test procedures, follow safety and clean-room requirements, and may act as a technical/quality lead while partnering with Engineering and Manufacturing on NPI procedures and performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform complex electro-mechanical design, test, checkout, troubleshooting, and assembly activities for electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
•Test and troubleshoot system-level and component-level problems with minimal supervision and limited documentation.
•Investigate and compile data, document results, and recommend changes to enhance product performance.
•Execute mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/vacuum and process testing on Applied Materials platforms and follow all safety standards.
•Provide technical guidance/training to lower-level technicians and may serve as a “Quality Lead” for a platform/product.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 39 - 53.4 hourly

•Background in electrical test and validation in manufacturing test, RMA diagnostics/repair, or support for an engineering design team.
•Ability to operate oscilloscopes and DMMs independently.
•Ability to solder/desolder/rework SMT PCBs and apply general low-voltage electrical knowledge (0–24V).
•Understand electro-mechanical assembly/disassembly and ESD mitigation practices.
•Ability to produce electrical cables from sketches and execute detailed, multi-step tasks with high precision.
