Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete daily preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on schedule and keep production lines in top mechanical condition to minimize downtime.
  • •Set up, visually inspect, and test machinery to ensure expected operation; listen for unusual sounds/malfunctions and diagnose issues with supervisors.
  • •Dismantle malfunctioning machinery and replace or repair faulty parts to restore functionality; clean, lubricate, and maintain components such as bearings, gears, and shafts.
  • •Support production and quality teams with troubleshooting or repairs and take on additional duties to keep the plant running efficiently.
  • •Follow safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs); help maintain the facility and keep areas clean, safe, and organized.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or GED) plus 1+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance experience, or 4 years of direct experience in the same environments.
  • •Preferred: vocational/technical diploma or associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school.
  • •Ability to function effectively in a team environment and work with team personnel and outside contractors.
  • •Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • •Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, and read/execute work orders and equipment manuals.
