Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform welding using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW processes on carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum structural shapes, tubing, and piping.
  • •Cut, trim, fit, and fabricate weldments to specified dimensions for building and assembly.
  • •Collaborate with the lead welder to assess weld procedure, material type, and rod size for each welding project.
  • •Review engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations when procedural information is unavailable.
  • •Continuously improve operations to decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes, while working cooperatively.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •1+ years of welding experience in a fabrication environment using FCAW or GTAW SCH 10 pipe.
  • •5+ years of professional experience in GTAW welding with SCH 10 stainless steel and/or SCH 10 carbon steel pipe.
  • •5+ years of professional experience in FCAW welding with stainless steel and/or carbon steel.
  • •Previous welding qualifications per applicable codes such as AWS D1.1, AWS D1.2, AWS D1.6, AWS D17.1, or ASME Section IX.
