Job Summary

Participate in a 4–8 week onboarding and education program with rotations in operations and Sales & Service, leading to Retail Personal Banker I responsibilities. Use a consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles, recommend retail consumer and small business solutions, and cross-sell through lobby leadership, aisle time, and tele-consulting. Meet production and customer experience goals, partner with Mortgage/Small Business/Commercial/Investment teams, and process teller transactions while following risk, ethics, and confidentiality policies.

Key Responsibilities

•Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify financial needs.
•Maintain in-depth knowledge of retail consumer and small business products/services and recommend appropriate solutions using the value proposition.
•Utilize CAMP and approved marketing tools to reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews.
•Primarily cross-sell to existing customers and participate in outside sales activities, including community financial literacy events and business sales calls as directed.
•Establish relationships with business partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment), refer customers appropriately, and support teller transactions and platform staff work while following risk, ethics, and confidentiality policies.

Key Requirements

•College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills (or a combination of education and experience).
•Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to existing customers.
•Must be able to demonstrate understanding of advanced math functions to analyze credit and financial information.
•Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank using appropriate appearance and verbal/written communication.
•Ability to develop working knowledge of retail policies and procedures to make sound decisions.
