Job Summary

Join the New Ingredients Discovery team to design and develop sustainable fragrance ingredients. You will analyze data and apply chemical expertise to identify and synthesize novel perfumery compounds, collaborating with chemists, data scientists, and automation specialists. Responsibilities span synthesis planning, analytical evaluation (GC/MS/NMR), purification, instrument troubleshooting, and meticulous lab documentation to advance olfactory science.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan and execute the synthesis of novel molecules for subsequent olfactory evaluation.
•Analyze chemical reactions, including intermediates, by-products, and final products, using GC, MS, NMR, and other analytical techniques.
•Isolate and purify intermediate and final products through extraction, distillation, crystallization, chromatography, and other separation techniques.
•Proactively identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proposing effective solutions, and participate in maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
•Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental progress and results in a laboratory notebook.

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree or equivalent industry experience in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
•Solid foundation in organic reaction mechanisms and catalytic methods
•Experience generating, analyzing, and documenting high quality experimental data

•Curiosity and proactive attitude toward exploring new tools and technologies
