Job Summary

Support operations in the Finishing/Paint Applications Lab and the Fabrication/High Bay area by performing hands-on paint mixing, substrate specimen painting, and ISO 17025–accredited paint application testing. Manage automotive OEM paint systems, prepare specimens, execute equipment and test quality protocols, and maintain compliant technical documentation. Also support compounding and pilot-scale work using twin screw extrusion and injection molding, including routine equipment maintenance and audit participation.

Key Responsibilities

•Support operations in the Finishing/Paint Applications Lab and provide additional support in the Fabrication/High Bay area.
•Serve as primary technician for paint mixing protocols and substrate specimen painting.
•Perform ISO 17025–accredited paint application tests following established OEM standards and execute equipment/test quality protocols.
•Maintain quality documentation, including technical writing and compliance reviews, and participate in laboratory accreditation audits.
•Weigh and blend polypropylene compound raw materials, perform pilot-scale compounding of TPO using twin screw extrusion, and operate injection molding machines to mold test specimens per ASTM/ISO/OEM standards.
