Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement and deploy state-of-the-art ML models/algorithms for open-world object manipulation on physical hardware.
  • •Drive the manipulation learning data engine, including data collection strategy, curation, annotation, and synthetic/real data mix with data infrastructure teams.
  • •Lead the full development cycle from simulation prototyping to transferring and fine-tuning models on the robot.
  • •Identify and prioritize performance bottlenecks by separating root causes in classical vision (e.g., calibration, geometry, sensor fusion) from model/data issues.
  • •Mentor and raise the organization’s technical rigor through architectural excellence and rigorous engineering practices.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years shipping machine learning models on robotic systems in production environments.
  • •Expertise in AI model development for manipulation, including CNNs and transformers.
  • •Proficiency in Python, C++, and PyTorch, building real-time robotic software stacks.
  • •Experience with data collection, annotation, and synthetic data generation for ML.
  • •Deep computer vision and robotics experience, including 6D pose estimation, camera calibration/extrinsics, and point cloud processing; plus hardware bring-up for high-DOF manipulators.
