Key Responsibilities

•Lead, mentor, and manage a distributed team of 8+ staff engineers, fostering continuous learning and technical excellence.
•Create individual development plans (IDPs), set annual performance goals, and define progression paths into technical leadership or people leadership roles.
•Partner with studio leaders and internal producers to align engineering resource deployment with project timelines and milestone objectives.
•Establish studio best practices for code reviews, technical documentation, and proactive feedback loops.
•Maintain engineering skills by contributing to non-critical path coding, technical proofs of concept, and code reviews.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of professional software engineering experience in the video game industry, including 2+ years directly managing engineers.
•Participated in shipping multiple AAA console titles and understands console development pipelines, certifications, and hardware capabilities.
•Strong programming skills in C/C++ and solid understanding of multi-threaded architectures.
•Excellent communication skills to manage relationships with external studios and translate technical risks to non-technical partners.
•A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or equivalent experience.
