Key Responsibilities

  • •Mobilize and roll out the enterprise data modelling function for EMEA, including creating the organization structure and operating model.
  • •Drive regional and global adoption of enterprise data models across business, IT, and data teams, working with data owners to achieve use.
  • •Drive distribution patterns for data platform layers (silver/gold), conceptualizing data products and mapping provisions to the Business Information model.
  • •Engage with business stakeholders and Data Office SMEs to analyze business processes, assess data similarities across applications, and document findings.
  • •Ensure governance and compliance of the models via controlled forums, standardize where possible, and champion usage in initiatives like ECB, BCBS239, CLM, and the enterprise data platform.

Key Requirements

  • •Build enterprise data modelling functions across banks and financial services organizations, including conceptualization and development of enterprise data models.
  • •Use data modelling tools such as Erwin, ER studio, or IDA to create conceptual/logical models and support model development and release management.
  • •Create and drive agreements on an operating model for data models, including development, rollout, and adoption across IT, business, and data teams.
  • •Apply enterprise data models to data governance, data quality, and data analytics, integrating with data governance tooling such as Collibra.
  • •Have practical knowledge of banking data standards and industry models (e.g., BIAN, BFMDW, FSLDM, BIRD) and experience enabling data governance tooling.
