Key Responsibilities

  • •Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers; support make-versus-buy decisions and coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
  • •Form and coordinate the Materials Core Team, managing deliverables through matrix management of buyers, planners, and production control while collaborating with engineering.
  • •Create, release, and update project materials strategy under some supervision, and execute commercialization (transition) materials plans.
  • •Assist in sourcing activities including supplier price/delivery negotiations, preferred supplier selection/assessment, supplier risk assessment, and monitoring supplier performance.
  • •Manage materials change control, meet cost objectives, track KPIs and total landed costs targets, and mediate supplier quality issues with quality and engineering teams.
