Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead rail planning and operations modelling projects.
  • •Oversee and perform rail modelling and simulation analysis for rail operations, traction power, and pedestrian flow using standard tools.
  • •Perform operational analysis and rail network design using data and modelling approaches.
  • •Read and extract information from complex track/route alignment drawings and present it in an organized manner.
  • •Interpret simulation results, validate design requirements, and recommend upgrades to meet BS-EN/IEC/IEEE requirements, including managing work and training junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor/Master’s degree in a related discipline within Mechanical Engineering.
  • •At least 12 years’ experience in design, project management, and project delivery in a consulting engineering environment.
  • •Experience leading rail network and operational simulations, including traction power and pedestrian flow analysis, using industry-standard tools.
  • •Strong understanding of traction power supply systems, including sectioning diagrams for AC/DC systems and traction substation layouts and connection schemes.
  • •Chartered Engineer status (e.g., ICE, CIWEM) is preferred.
