Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply structural engineering techniques across concept development, preliminary design, final design, procurement, and construction phases.
  • •Perform structural engineering research, observations, and analysis to determine conformance with applicable codes and standards.
  • •Develop and supervise construction drawings, calculation packages, and specifications, coordinating with owners and other disciplines.
  • •Oversee and monitor cross-functional teams to execute work across multiple concurrent projects, including budgets, tracking, compliance documentation, and technical analysis memos.
  • •Coordinate, review, and issue building design plans; prepare technical reports, presentations, and visualizations, and interact professionally with regulatory agencies and clients.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or closely related).
  • •Structural Engineer SE License or ability to obtain an SE license within one year.
  • •7–10 years of structural design experience for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood/mass timber buildings, including detailing for renovation and/or seismic strengthening.
  • •Proficiency in lateral force-resisting system design and detailing with the International Building Code.
  • •Ability to plan and conduct observations/investigations and perform technical computations, calculations, and code/compliance analysis.
